Within the four walls of an artist’s studio magic happens. I think this is especially true for photographers who have to create a world within the limitations of an enclosed space. With that in mind, I can’t wait to see how the likes of Man Ray and Irving Penn experimented in their studios in A World of Its Own: Photographic Practices in the Studio, at the Museum of Modern Art this month. The exhibition will feature photography and video by over 90 artists.
