Designer Michelle Nussbaumer’s eclectic interiors are largely influenced by the treasures she’s collected on her travels. Her first book, Wanderlust: Interiors That Bring the World Home, published this September, showcases her style beautifully and will be an inspiration to anyone interested in interior design.
I take so many photographs when I’m traveling. I want to document everything, whether it’s a creative spark for work or just to capture a family moment abroad. Michelle’s approach inspired me to create a tablescape of photographs alongside beautiful objects from my own travels. From Jonathan Becker’s portrait of me in Morocco to a picture I took of my son on safari in Africa, I mix and match images in different frames, including the new Elodie lacquered wood frame, and the Classic Shagreen Frame both in a pale Dove shade. This approach works well on a center hall table or a console and makes for great conversation when friends come over.
