One of the beauty trends I noticed on the spring runways in September was a dark, dramatic eye. At Louis Vuitton, makeup artist Pat McGrath painted an Edie Sedgwick-style graphic fringe around the models’ eyes. At Tom Ford eyes were thickly lined and smudged to create a look that was almost goth. Extremes characterized Prada and Givenchy, too, where the corners of the eyes were accentuated like wings, while at Celine and Sonia Rykiel the models sported dark liner and long, black lashes.
A subtler version of this beauty trend can be a dramatic look for a night out—try the AERIN Cool Gel Eyeliner, which comes in intense, richly pigmented shades to add definition. Long, dark lashes are also part of the look; best achieved with a few layers of a non-clumping mascara, such the new AERIN Volumizing Mascara.
