I grew up in New York and it is one of my favorite cities in the world, especially in the fall when it feels more vibrant than ever. For me, NYC is a constant source of ideas and the inspiration behind my AERIN Fall Palette. The transition from summer to September in the city is all about looking a little more sophisticated, whether it is a more polished uptown look or a slightly edgier downtown one. The sandals and linen shirts get tucked away, while the pencil skirts and heels come out. It is the same with beauty, fall requires new colors and I’ve created a fashionable, edited palette that works for creating an uptown or downtown look. A wash of Soft Beige blush adds a sophisticated bit of color. For lips, four new glosses provide a hint of color from sheer to saturated. AERIN’s two signature lipsticks include Madison, which is a modern take on a nude lip, while Mercer adds drama in deep merlot. A trio of shadows works for eyes, Barely There provides the perfect neutral canvas, while Smoky Navy and Midnight Shine lend depth and definition. Kajal Eyeliner in inky black Skyline creates a dramatic effect, just like the city itself.
