There’s nothing more relaxing than a weekend with your family. On Saturday morning, I wake up early and make a big country breakfast for everyone. I really enjoy getting up first to prepare a casual but inviting table, with embroidered napkins and fresh flowers. Our kitchen island is like a long farmhouse table with a slab of marble on top, so I spread everything out buffet style and let people help themselves. My new white woven ceramic fruit platter is the perfect size for piling apples and oranges, and I arrange pitchers of fresh squeezed juice and glasses on the AERIN blue printed Ikat tray—I love how it picks up the sky-blue color of the kitchen walls.

The menu usually looks a little something like this:

Breadbasket filled with flaky croissants and blueberry muffins, warmed in the oven

Selection of hard boiled blue, brown, and white eggs

Individually portioned baked eggs with fresh herbs and toast soldiers

Bowls of chicken apple sausage and crispy applewood smoked bacon

Oven-roasted home fries with bell peppers and chives

Heirloom tomato salad tossed with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and cracked black pepper

Bowls of fresh berries and whole fruit

Pitchers of fresh squeezed orange juice and lemon water
